September 1953 Sugino Press Goshi (Joint-stock) Company founded, and the manufacture of auto parts started.
March 1960 Officially commended as an excellent streamlined enterprise by the Governor of Aichi Prefecture.
March 1968 Transfer presses introduced and various automation processes initiated.
December 1973 Asuke Plant built and operation started as part of Sugino's business expansion and streamlining.
November 1977 General campaign launched to carry out corporate structure improvement.
September 1978 Sugino Press Co., Ltd. established at a capitalization of ¥30 million. All business operations taken over from Sugino Press Goshi Company.
November 1978 Commended as an excellent quality plant when Tokai Rika Co., Ltd. awarded the Deming Prize.
February 1982 PM is introduced to strengthen the corporate structure.
October 1984 '84 PM Excellent Business Prize Class 2 awarded by the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance.
March 1988 Asuke Plant incorporated into Okura Kogyo Co., Ltd. (capital: ¥5 million) as a member company of the Group.
April 1988 Assembly plant added to the Head Office plant, and new business initiated.
April 1989 Assembly of auto parts (oxygen sensors) started.
April 1996 Capital of Okura Kogyo Co., Ltd. increased to ¥10 million on the revision of the Commercial Code.
October 1996 Koji Sugino made President of Sugino Press.
July 1999 Director's Shinpo Prize awarded by the Aichi Labor Standards Bureau for an enterprise with excellent safety and health management systems.
April 2003 ISO9001 certification granted.
